Practice your craft every Friday in a welcoming community of writers. We are an open-to-all group who have been meeting in Seattle cafés for 20+ years. This is timed writing.
Writing starts promptly at 2:30.
We write in two formats. Both have start lines. The first is “Today I am writing about…” and that table/group writes straight through in one 45 minute session. The second format is random start lines generated by the members of the table. This group will work with 4 individual start lines. Each start line will kick off a timed session: 5, 10, 15, 5 minutes. Stopping and reading the new lines eats up a few minutes.
The 4 start line method provides new-to-the-format writers traction for the long haul and experienced writers benefit from random inspiration. All genres are welcome. Come give it a try!
